Urban refugees

Because JRS seeks to work with those “on the fringes of humanity,” JRS Asia Pacific has taken into account the needs of refugees living both in the camps, and those in urban areas. It has been recorded that almost half of the world’s refugees now live in urban areas, but the vast majority of assistance remains in the camps. JRS Asia Pacific works in the urban areas of Bangkok and Mae Sot providing legal and psycho-social services, material assistance, livelihoods, skills training, etc.
